Hi and welcome to my blog, My name is Coral Barnes and I am the author of this blog, I am 28 years old born in Austin, Texas but I have now relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado. I started this blog on October 20th, 2020, to help my friends and fellow K-pop fans “deep dive” into certain particular artists and groups that they felt they really wanted to know.
I became a K-pop fan in 2018 when I randomly came across the BTS “Fire” music video on a late-night music binge and that’s when I fell in love with the genre itself. Unfortunately, I had to leave the BTS Army fandom in 2019 due to the toxicity and negative backlash I got for supporting other groups I discovered later on like Red Velvet, Verivery, SF9, and others.
Originally the blog started as just guides on artists and groups but I have expanded the blog to include K-pop fandom culture content, album reviews, and concert reviews, and added J-pop as a sub-genre.
I am hoping to do interviews one day with many artists and groups, I also hope that my content helps people learn about the exciting and sometimes difficult sides of being a K-pop fan.
