What is K-Pop?

K-Pop (Korean Pop) is a genre of music that originates in South Korea. The genre itself is influenced by different musical styles and genres from all over the world including rock, pop, hip-hop, rap, jazz, folk, country, R &B, EDM, and many other genres.

K-pop as a genre started to grow in 1990s when the group H.O.T debuted, as the years went by after that group came along, K-pop was not only a genre of music to people but it’s own culture and world.

The genre itself has marketed itself internationally in many countries and has spread the message of what Korea is truly made of.
